Unboxing Z-Onedoll ZO-138 with ZO-A40 head aka ›Lolita‹

Here is an 'Unboxing quicky' for Z-Onedoll's ZO-138 with ZO-A40 head aka ›Lolita‹.

A lot of people have asked how Z-Onedoll has progressed in the past year, and this Unboxing will try to answer this question. The short answer is: Z-Onedoll has improved quite a bit. Surprisingly, a lot of their competitors have worsened within the same time frame. Especially the TPE competition… well, they are starting to fall behind. In this environment, Z-Onedoll keeps improving. That is quite amazing!

First, packaging. The inside of the box looks looks well-ordered upon arrival. Accessories are in a separate compartment. No metal parts floating around in the box.

In this case, the doll had her head attached - ZO has to consider their dolls with heating and animatronics. These heads can not be removed, so the packaging takes care of shipping a complete body. The inside of the cover padding protects the head and helps to fix the upper body in the carton. Pretty smart and well done!

This carton was a little bigger than necessary. Other manufacturers don't care and allow the doll to float around in the carton. Z-Onedoll fills the carton to prevent the doll from moving. I think someone actually listened to the customers.

This is good packaging!

The doll is wrapped in a plastic bag. No obvious dents or scratches.

The butt is curvy. That's a relieve. There are so many TPE dolls shipped with a flat butt nowadays…

The breasts feel awesome. They are now filled with some kind of silicone gel - really soft and feeling more natural than hollow TPE breasts.

This is a major improvement!

The head in this shipment is called Lolita. It is ZO-A40.

The eyeballs are now relatively easy to adjust. If you remember my Unboxing post from last year - one of my complaints was that the eyes were very hard to adjust. Z-Onedoll is using 32 mm full-round plastic eyeballs, and they stuck on the silicone eye sockets like poop on your sneakers. A quick workaround was to add little pieces of plastic in the back so the eyes could rotate smoother. Again, Z-Onedoll listened. They folded some paper and put it behind the eyeballs. It works well enough - it's a pure pleasure to adjust the line of sight.

For me, this is yet another major enhancement. The Z-Onedoll eyeballs are now better adjustable than the eyes in any TPE doll I have seen - even without elaborate mechanics as used by Doll Sweet or in the newer Sanhui heads!

The eyelashes sit relatively tight and do not fall off by itself. Even if it's still not perfect, I think it's good enough for the money. Z-Onedoll ladies are budget dolls, like TPE dolls, and I wish all TPE dolls would look as decent in a closeup like this.

ZO-A40 is an oral-capable head, or at least it exists in an oral-capable variant. Press on her cheeks and her mouth opens. Please remember that "oral capable" is not the same like "recommended for oral sex". Especially with the smaller heads, there is a risk of tearing the mouth, and - simmilar to TPE dolls - the oral cavity is open at the end.

The first real imperfection on this doll is in the mouth: The upper teeth are hardly visible. To catch up with medium-class silicone dolls like those from Doll Sweet or the updated heads from Sanhui, Z-Onedoll has still some work to do.

However, this is inherited from the molding process, which is still closely related to how TPE dolls are molded. If you look at the teeth of a TPE doll, they will usually look nicotine-stained. Teeth in TPE dolls are usually everything than white. In this regard, ZO is not better than a typical TPE head - but not worse, either.

Another little flaw is visible on the doll's back; on the right shoulder there are two small indentations. They are hardly visible, but they are there and probably will not go away by itself. Wherever they come from, you will have to live with it. Every ZO doll I have seen in the past year had little dents like this somewhere. Yes, if you want an absolutely perfect doll you need to look elsewhere. You will probably have to pay three or four times more - that's the price range where high-end silicone dolls start.

However, if you are willing to make some compromises or are undecided between a TPE and a silicone doll, Z-Onedoll is the answer.

Conclusion

I am pretty impressed that Z-Onedoll actually listend to the criticism expressed in the past. When we vendors tell certain other Chinese manufacturers that there are things that could or should be improved, we are used to get the middle finger. A polite, but unmistakable "buzz off, we don't care".

It is amazing that of all Z-Onedoll turned out to care - with major enhancements like packaging and soft breasts, or little improvements like smoothly adjustable eyeballs.
